Curriculum Development
The (GIRLI) Global International Reading Literacy Institute develops several curriculums such as mathematics, language arts (reading), language arts (writing), science, and social studies that consider what students should learn in various levels of education and courses from kindergarten through 12th grade. The reading process is a structured form of parent-child reading that can help students become more fluent when reading text. It is recommended as a daily activity taking from 15 to thirty minutes. However, it is suggested that it takes place in a private area, a quiet spot in which both adults and children feel comfortable. Reading is a literacy act in which readers read text, and texts have particular structures, quite different from talk, that make special demands on readers’ understanding. Reading requires awareness of language arts compared to spoken language, reading makes greater, and at least different demands on a person’s perceptual abilities. English (Reading Reasoning), the student will be able to read and the meanings of unfamiliar words and phrases; identify word origins, derivations, inflections, identify analogies, figurative language, use context and sentence structures to determine the meaning and differentiate among multiple meanings of words, and use word-reference materials.

The staff of GIRLI – Global International Reading Literacy Institute includes highly-credentialed BIPOC educators and experts in their fields; several staff members are multilingual as well. They have experience working with BIPOC students and adults, of all ages to pursue college, careers, and opportunities in their futures. GIRLI proposes tutoring programs that will focus specifically on assisting students, adults, and all ages to access these remote learning opportunities.
At Global International Reading Literacy School, we believe that a well-rounded education includes opportunities for students to explore their interests and passions outside of the classroom. We offer a wide range of extracurricular activities, including sports teams, music and drama programs, and clubs and organizations.
We believe that education is a collaborative effort between students, families, and educators. At Global International Reading Literacy School, we are committed to fostering strong relationships with our students' families and the broader community. We offer a variety of ways for families and community members to get involved and support our school.
